Supporting testing services

How to access our testing facilities

By contacting ETRA directly at [info@etra.si](mailto:info@etra.si). An initial technical consultation is used to define the challenge, expected results, required equipment, confidentiality requirements and preferred schedule. ETRA then assesses feasibility and prepares a tailored testing plan, timetable and commercial proposal. Following approval and, where required, the signing of a non-disclosure agreement, access is scheduled and supervised by ETRA’s technical team. Testing can be performed at ETRA’s facilities, at the customer’s site or through a combined approach.

Support provided during the testing process

ETRA assigns a multidisciplinary team according to the project requirements, combining expertise in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, robotics, software, machine vision and digitalisation. Support covers requirements analysis, test-plan preparation, simulation, equipment configuration, prototype integration, functional and safety testing, data collection, results evaluation and preparation of recommendations. Where required, ETRA can continue with detailed engineering, industrial implementation, commissioning, operator training, optimisation and maintenance.

Consulting and expert guidance

Yes. Companies can consult directly with ETRA’s specialists in industrial automation, robotics, mechanical and electrical engineering, PLC/HMI/SCADA systems, machine vision, industrial software, IIoT, cybersecurity and digital twins. Experts are available during the initial assessment, testing and evaluation phases and can advise on technical feasibility, technology selection, system architecture, safety, integration into existing production systems, scalability and expected operational benefits.

Networking opportunities and collaboration platforms

Yes. Companies can connect with potential technology partners and clients through ETRA’s cooperation with industrial companies, research organisations, technology providers, clusters and European research and innovation consortia. ETRA also participates in professional events, technology demonstrations, workshops, trade fairs and collaborative innovation projects, creating opportunities for B2B cooperation, pilot projects, joint development and participation in European funding programmes.

Additional resources for interested companies

ETRA provides an integrated path from an initial production challenge to a validated and operational industrial solution. Services can include feasibility assessment, concept development, simulation, mechanical and electrical engineering, software development, prototyping, Factory Acceptance Testing, installation, Site Acceptance Testing, documentation, training and long-term maintenance. Solutions are tailored to the customer’s production process and can be developed as standalone systems or integrated into existing machines, production lines and information systems. Confidential projects can be managed under a non-disclosure agreement and supported by ETRA’s secure IT and project-management infrastructure. Companies are encouraged to provide process data, technical requirements, layouts, sample products and expected performance indicators during the initial assessment.

Cost and access conditions for using center’s services

Yes. Costs are determined individually according to the scope and complexity of the requested service, required engineering work, equipment use, testing duration, materials, software, documentation and on-site activities. Following the initial requirements assessment, ETRA provides a transparent commercial proposal defining the scope, deliverables, schedule and costs. Where applicable, companies may also explore national or European funding opportunities for testing, pilot implementation or collaborative research and innovation activities.
