Regional Mapping Analysis Report for User Acceptance Model 

The regional mapping analysis within the GREENE 4.0 project aims to comprehensively understand the current state and potential for innovation in the sustainable business sector across Central European (CE) regions. The analysis focuses specifically on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing industry.

In total, the mapping analysis surveyed 422 manufacturing SMEs across the CE regions to gain representative sample coverage across company sizes, sub-sectors, and geographic areas. The analysis aimed to understand: Current adoption rates of green/digital technologies; perceived barriers, risks and uncertainties; future plans and innovation interests; required resources and supports.

Transnational Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

Transnational Memorandum of Understanding serves to establish the cooperation between the partners and associated strategic partners of the Greene 4.0 project. The primary focus of the memorandum is to engage in discussions and efforts that promote intelligent and environmentally sustainable innovation approaches, with the goal of expanding digital transformation possibilities for manufacturing enterprises in Central Europe.

With MoU the partnership has defined the purposes and conditions for collaboration, promoting discussions and information exchange among the partners in the following areas of mutual interest:
• Continuing to strengthen innovation capacities in Central Europe through further development and strengthening of new value chains related to smart and green manufacturing in project’s regions.
• Networking and strengthening the innovation capacity of smart manufacturing stakeholders in Central Europe.
• Capitalizing of existing knowledge, solutions and outputs achieved by Parties through the implementation of synergic projects focused on smart and green manufacturing, on innovative products/solutions development, on business models generation and on support services related to digital and green transition of manufacturing companies.
• Fostering the transfer of know-how and best practices between Parties and increased cooperation between institutions/organisations in Central Europe regions.

Transnational Strategy for Deploying GREENE 4.0 Innovation Platform

Pillars of the Danube DNA Network

The Danube DNA Network is a transnational ecosystem that supports the digital transformation of SMEs across the Danube Region through knowledge transfer, capacity building, and cross-border cooperation. Its key pillars include a network of aligned “one-stop shops”, the Danube DNA Platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing, and transnational guidelines for smart specialization and Industry 4.0 adoption. The network promotes awareness of digitalization opportunities and develops joint solutions that address common challenges faced by SMEs. It also fosters innovation through knowledge exchange, pilot actions, and the Digital Transformation Expo. Together, these pillars contribute to a stronger, more competitive, and digitally advanced SME ecosystem across the Danube Region.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is the foundation of the Danube DNA Network, formalising the commitment of project partners and associated strategic partners to work together in supporting the digital transformation of SMEs across the Danube Region. Through the MoU, organizations from ten countries agreed to establish a sustainable transnational network based on cooperation, mutual respect, knowledge sharing, and innovation. The agreement focuses on strengthening digital transformation capacities, developing joint solutions, promoting smart specialization, and fostering cross-border collaboration towards Industry and Logistics 4.0. It also supports the operation of the Danube DNA Platform as a central hub for communication, cooperation, and dissemination of project results. By signing the MoU, partners committed to creating a long-term ecosystem that will continue to support SME competitiveness, digitalization, and innovation beyond the lifetime of the Danube DNA project.

Danube DNA Platform Sustainability Plan

The B2GreenHub Sustainability Plan defines the strategic framework for ensuring the long-term sustainability, governance and continuous development of the B2GreenHub platform beyond individual project lifecycles. It outlines the platform's operational model, knowledge-sharing mechanisms, collaboration with complementary European initiatives, stakeholder engagement, funding opportunities, and content management principles, ensuring that B2GreenHub remains a sustainable ecosystem supporting the digital and green transition of SMEs across Europe.
