Supporting testing services

How to access our testing facilities

Companies can access TechLab’s testing facilities by first contacting the team at IPC Tehnopolis to present their idea, technical problem, or prototype needs, after which TechLab experts assess the project and propose the most suitable technologies—ranging from CAD design and 3D scanning to CAM programming and manufacturing using classical, additive, or subtractive methods. Depending on the client’s status, services are provided either free of charge (for business incubator members and partners) or under commercial terms, using high-quality equipment such as CNC machining centers, lathes, routers, milling machines, welding systems, 3D scanners, and advanced metal, FDM, and SLA 3D printers. The process results in a tested, industry-standard prototype or part, accompanied by 3D models, technical documentation, and, if required, further support for refinement or production scaling.

Support provided during the testing process

The center supports companies throughout the testing process by providing end-to-end assistance—from refining initial concepts and selecting appropriate technologies, to preparing digital designs, programming machines, and manufacturing prototypes or parts using advanced CNC, 3D printing, and welding equipment.

Consulting and expert guidance

TechLab’s experts guide clients in choosing the right materials and production methods for their intended application, carry out precision fabrication, and perform quality checks to ensure results meet industry standards. Alongside technical execution, the center offers 3D models, detailed documentation, and professional advice for product improvement or scaling, ensuring that companies not only test their ideas effectively but also gain the knowledge and confidence to move toward full-scale production.

Cost and access conditions for using center’s services

In addition to supporting undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, the Industrial Design Laboratory also provides commercial services, although these are not its primary focus. Over the past period, dozens of projects have been carried out on a commercial basis, while support for young researchers remains a key activity, considering that many of them do not have access to modern technologies essential for professionally designing and producing their project ideas.
