CITADELS Launches Online Catalogue of DeepTech TestBeds

The CITADELS project is proud to announce the launch of its new online Catalogue of DeepTech TestBeds – a platform designed to improve access to advanced research and innovation infrastructures across Europe.

The catalogue brings together numerous DeepTech TestBeds and experimentation environments, offering researchers, startups, SMEs, industry stakeholders, and innovators a centralised entry point for discovering facilities that support technology validation, testing, demonstration, and deployment.

As Europe continues to strengthen its DeepTech capabilities and transition toward human-centric Industry 5.0, access to specialised infrastructures becomes increasingly important. However, many valuable testbeds, particularly in widening countries, remain fragmented or difficult to identify. The new CITADELS catalogue addresses this challenge by increasing the visibility, accessibility, and connectivity of DeepTech infrastructures across borders.

The platform enables users to:

  • explore available DeepTech TestBeds across Europe,
  • identify suitable infrastructures for experimentation and validation,
  • foster new collaborations between academia and industry,
  • support technology transfer and innovation scaling,
  • accelerate the path from research to market.

The catalogue represents another important milestone of the CITADELS project, which aims to transform widening countries into competitive DeepTech hubs by strengthening innovation ecosystems, promoting talent circulation, and aligning academic excellence with industrial needs.

By facilitating access to real-world experimentation environments, CITADELS contributes to reducing innovation barriers, supporting sustainable economic growth, and enhancing Europe’s technological resilience.
