On 25 and 27 February, the Greene 4.0 project successfully delivered two transnational seminars, presenting its key achievements and highlighting the long-term value of the B2GreenHub platform for SMEs across Europe.
The first seminar provided a comprehensive overview of the project’s main objectives, results, and impact. Participants were introduced to the five major pillars of Greene 4.0: strengthening regional innovation ecosystems, stimulating cross-border cooperation, creating transnational value chains, increasing user awareness and acceptance, and supporting policymaking through coordinated regional action plans.
A central part of the session was dedicated to the presentation of the B2GreenHub platform, the project’s flagship result, designed as a European innovation hub and one-stop shop for SMEs pursuing green and digital transformation. The platform connects solution providers, technology infrastructures, training resources, assessment and strategic planning tools, funding opportunities, and a growing community of stakeholders. Its core services — including matchmaking opportunities, access to technology portfolios and testing facilities, funding guidance, and tailored training programmes — were presented as practical instruments supporting SMEs along their structured transition pathway.
The seminar concluded with an industry testimonial showcasing a concrete success story that emerged from the project. The presented collaboration demonstrated how SMEs can benefit from strategic support, cross-border matchmaking, and pilot validation in real industrial environments.
The second seminar built upon these results, further exploring the development of a cross-border innovation ecosystem and the long-term sustainability of the project outcomes. Particular emphasis was placed on the integration of Greene 4.0 with EDIH DIGI-SI 2.0, ensuring continued and structured support for SMEs beyond the project’s lifetime. Participants were also informed about the next steps in the platform’s development and its ambition to become a permanent European reference point for green and digital innovation.
