"TerraWise develops a digital ESG management and reporting system designed for SMEs, municipalities, and schools. Our solution combines a structured ESG questionnaire (55+ indicators), automated scoring, and guidance for compliance with CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and national regulations. It also integrates CO₂ footprint calculation modules, energy-efficiency analytics, and sustainability training components. The platform acts as an “ESG cockpit” where organisations can monitor risks, track improvements, and generate simplified reports. Alongside the digital tool, TerraWise provides expert support, energy audits, and tailored sustainability action plans, ensuring organisations move from understanding requirements to implementing concrete measures."
"The solution is specifically tailored for SMEs, municipalities, and schools that have limited internal ESG capacity. It translates complex EU regulations (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, climate and energy policies) into simple language and practical steps. The ESG questionnaire with more than 55 indicators is supported by explanatory “hints” and recommended actions, helping users understand why each topic matters. Unlike many corporate-level tools, the TerraWise solution combines a digital platform with on-site energy audits, CO₂ calculations, and training. It is modular (ESG, energy, emissions, education) and can be used both as a quick screening tool and as a basis for long-term sustainability roadmaps. Integration with the Green Monster education programme also allows companies and schools to involve employees, students, and communities in a more engaging way."
"The solution is designed as an overlay to existing systems, so it does not require any changes to machines or production lines. Data can be collected through structured questionnaires and from existing company data (e.g. energy bills, production reports, waste records). The methodology can be customised to different manufacturing sectors by adapting indicators and benchmarks (e.g. energy intensity, material use, waste streams). Because it focuses on ESG, energy, and resource data rather than direct machine control, it is compatible with any standard manufacturing technologies and equipment and can be applied in both low-tech and highly automated environments."
"TerraWise provides full support during implementation, starting with an initial ESG and energy diagnostic, data-collection support and configuration of the questionnaires and indicators. For manufacturing companies, we offer workshops with management and key departments (production, maintenance, HR, procurement) to explain the tool and agree priorities. Post-implementation, clients receive periodic review sessions, support with interpreting results, and assistance in preparing action plans and reports for banks, investors, or customers. Training is available in the form of online sessions, on-site training, and educational materials (guides, checklists, videos). For schools and communities, the Green Monster programme provides additional educational content focused on sustainability and behaviour change."
"The methodology of the solution is aligned with key EU frameworks such as the CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and climate and energy objectives, as well as with national environmental and waste legislation relevant for manufacturing companies. The tool helps organisations identify gaps in compliance, prepare for upcoming reporting obligations, and document their sustainability efforts in a structured way. At this stage, the solution itself does not yet hold a formal certification or accreditation. However, it is being developed and tested in cooperation with academic and professional partners, and will be continuously updated to reflect new regulations and best-practice standards in ESG and environmental management."
"TerraWise supported a mid-sized manufacturing company in Slovakia with an ESG and energy assessment based on our structured questionnaire and scoring methodology. Through data collection, interviews, and analysis of energy and resource flows, we identified key risks related to energy use, waste handling, supply chain sustainability, and workforce topics. The company received a tailored action plan with clear priorities, recommended measures, and estimated impacts. Several low-cost interventions (energy optimisation, improved waste separation, supplier screening) were implemented within months. The results helped the company prepare for upcoming ESG requirements from customers, reduce operational inefficiencies, and strengthen transparency in reporting. This use case validated the methodology later integrated into the TerraWise ESG Academy and Reporting Tool."
"TerraWise has worked with several SMEs, municipalities, and schools across Slovakia and the UK, applying the same ESG methodology that forms the foundation of the digital ESG Academy and Reporting Tool. In manufacturing, the most common needs include energy efficiency, waste reduction, CO₂ reporting, and understanding supply-chain expectations. Our assessments help organisations structure their ESG data, identify regulatory gaps, and set practical improvement steps. In public-sector organisations (schools, small municipalities), the methodology has been used to map energy consumption, waste streams, and sustainability practices, while also providing educational programmes through the Green Monster initiative to strengthen long-term behavioural change. Feedback consistently highlights the clarity of the structured ESG questionnaire, the usefulness of “hint” explanations, and the ability to convert complex sustainability topics into a practical roadmap. These real-world pilot activities directly informed the design and development priorities of the upcoming digital platform."
"The digital platform is currently in development. A full technical documentation package and demonstration video will be available after completion of the MVP phase. For now, TerraWise can provide sample ESG questionnaire structures, methodology descriptions, and examples of audit reports upon request."
