The technological solution focuses on the development of construction materials capable of permanently storing significant amounts of CO₂ captured from the atmosphere through pyrolytically processed biomass. This addresses the challenge of safe and logical CO₂ storage without the need for its transport and underground deposition in liquefied form. The developed materials are circular, reusable in construction, and thanks to their biogenic origin and specific chemical properties, they can also be mixed with soil to improve its capacity to retain water and nutrients. One of the already certified products is the loose thermal and acoustic insulation material EKOUHEL, designed for insulating floor cavities and hollow construction prefabricates, such as bricks or panels. The target users include construction material manufacturers, building companies, and property owners seeking ecological and functional solutions.
A completely new solution on the market
The solution can be integrated without major problems,
INTECORES offers licenses to its patent, manufacturing process documentation, and the certifications obtained for the EKOUHEL material. The company also provides consulting services for the implementation of the material and technology into production.
No non-compliance with EU standards has been identified so far. Prototype production was carried out on a small scale, and in the case of large-scale production with a partner, an LCA analysis is planned. Since the process does not use any additional chemicals and is based on standard pyrolytic biomass processing, non-compliance with regulations is not expected.
