Description of center’s mission and objectives

The Pulp and Paper Institute (ICP) offers testing services for the physico-mechanical and technological properties of paper, cardboard, solid board, and raw materials for papermaking. Our mechanical and technological laboratories conduct all key testing methods, managed by experienced and qualified staff. With our pilot-scale equipment, we ensure a seamless transition from laboratory research to industrial application. This capability, combined with the expertise and competence of our personnel, allows us to deliver comprehensive research and development in materials and advanced technologies.

Description of center’s facilities and equipment

"The Laboratory for papermaking provides comprehensive service of physico-mechanical, graphic, chemical and microbiological testing of raw materials, additives, process waters, effluents, solid wastes and final products. We provide our customers with accessible analyses as well as customized and integrated service packages for the evaluation of paper, paperboard, cardboard, (bio)composites and paper products (physico-mechanical, chemical, microbiological as well as surface and optical properties) characterization of raw materials as well as process and environmental parameters (analyses of raw materials and additives, detrimental substances in the production, process parameters and waste evaluation)."
