Challenge

RENDAR MANAGEMENT is an EU-funds consultancy: its business is helping clients find the right calls and write competitive applications. Two things limited its capacity. First, scanning the many dispersed European and national programmes for each client was slow, manual work, and the guides are "written only for specialists". Second, proposal development — structuring ideas, drafting, checking consistency, building work packages and KPIs — is time-intensive, which caps how many clients the firm can serve well at once. To grow, RENDAR needed to screen calls faster and scale proposal work without lowering quality or adding headcount.

Solution & Result

Through the Danube DNA pilot, RENDAR registered as a Solution Seeker on B2GreenHub and piloted two AI tools. With the AI-Powered Funding Call Matcher (co-developed by ITCLD and PTP, Slovenia), it used "Ask AI" to screen ~1,375 live calls in plain language and get a ranked, filterable shortlist with fast eligibility checks — per client, without browsing multiple portals. With the Specialised AI-powered Proposal Development Consultant (Danube DNA AI Proposal Assistant), it went further: instead of drafting a single proposal, it formulated new service lines for the consultancy. The assistant acts as a structured proposal co-pilot (information gathering, structuring, first drafts, consistency checks, work packages, impacts/KPIs) and helped RENDAR design a packageable "AI-Assisted Proposal Health Check" that reviews a client's application before submission. ITCLD supported onboarding and prompt design. Result: RENDAR validated a two-tool workflow it is embedding in its offer, cutting funding-search and proposal-structuring effort from days to a single guided session, while keeping final judgement with its own experts.

Learning tips & recommendations

• Treat the tools as a service layer, not a one-off: the Matcher gives per-client eligibility pre-screening; the Proposal Consultant scales drafting.
• Use natural language in "Ask AI", then narrow with the Industry / Status / Budget / Deadline filters.
• Ask the assistant to "formulate a service" — it can turn its capabilities into packageable offers (e.g. an AI-Assisted Proposal Health Check).
• Keep the expert in the loop: AI does first-draft structuring; your specialists keep eligibility judgement and final quality.
• Register as a Solution Seeker with the Danube DNA tag; don't expose your client portfolio ("Rendar-as-user").
