As a one-person micro-enterprise, GIV BOATS has a clear vision: turn its Danube and Delta boat tours into a digital experience — a mobile app with an interactive map, multilingual audio guide and tablets/headsets on board. But making it real depends on external co-funding, and finding the right calls was a slow, manual task. The owner searched alone, with no dedicated consultant, struggling to spot calls fitting a niche profile: river tourism, cultural heritage and digitalisation on the Lower Danube. With little time and no in-house funding expertise, relevant opportunities (Creative Europe, Interreg, national tourism-digitalisation schemes) were easy to miss.
Through the Danube DNA pilot, GIV BOATS registered as a Solution Seeker on B2GreenHub and piloted the AI-Powered Funding Call Matcher, jointly developed by ITCLD and PTP (Slovenia). Using the "Ask AI" mode — natural-language search powered by an LLM over a database of ~1,465 live calls — the owner described the project ("funding for a multilingual smart audio-guide app for Danube and Delta tourism, micro-enterprise, Romania") and received a tailored shortlist, refined with the Industry, Status and Budget filters. ITCLD supported onboarding, prompt design and interpreting the results. Key result: the matcher surfaced the CR.EU.IN Heritage Eurocluster call as a strong fit — and GIV BOATS went on to submit an application to it for its smart audio-guide app. Pilot estimates (to be validated): time to find a relevant call dropped from ~3–4 hours of manual searching to ~15 minutes; ~5 relevant calls surfaced in one session vs. 1–2 found manually per month. The tool turned funding access for a one-person team into a concrete, submitted application.
• Reframe before you search: positioning GIV BOATS as a "digital Danube heritage experience" (not just "boat tours") unlocked far more relevant calls.
• Use natural language: describe your project in plain words in the "Ask AI" box, then narrow with the Industry / Status / Budget filters.
• Register and tag properly: sign up as a Solution Seeker on B2GreenHub with the Danube DNA tag to reach the matcher.
• Lean on your support organisation: a cluster/DIH partner can help craft prompts and screen eligible calls.
• Act on "Forthcoming" calls early — don't wait for the deadline rush.
