The MINT-POOL technology is developed as a highly efficient membrane-process-based system designed for wastewater from sand filters backwashing recycling in pools. Every public pool is forced to replace every day a high amount of warm water with cold drinking water because of legislation and conditions of sand filters. Every replaced cubic meter of water costs an enormous amount of money because of the price of water and heat. Using the membrane technology and smart system of disinfection is technology MINT-POOL able to produce water quality of drinking water of European standards. Technology MINT-POOL can save up to 60 % of heat and up to 85 % of water. The recycling technology MINT-POOL is targeted at public pools with sand filters.
Product water quality is in quality of drinking water by European standards. No chemicals are used to produce product water. No demi water is produced. The integration of recycling technology MINT-POOL into existing processes is simple. The wastewater (backwash water) from each sand filter is lured into the storage tank. Integration and storage tank for backwash waters is built differently for each pool. The product water is pumped directly into the pool.
The visualisation and remote control of the process is running 24/7. Our company also provide smart software implemented directly into technology. The smart software MINT-eBOOK controls the condition of every part of technology and warns customers if the technology is operated right. The software also controls the service interval of each component and informs customers if the component needs to be replaced. The big advantage is using self-optimizing software using artificial intelligence which can optimize process parameters online to achieve a high recovery rate with an accent on the quality and safety of product water.
The produced water complies with WHO requirements and national standards in terms of its parameters, including quality and composition.
Recycling technology MINT-POOL is already implemented in 2 pool processes excluding pilot testing plants. Two recycling technologies are installed in the public pool of ČZÚ Praha and Lázně Boskovice. Currently, we have 2 other plants in production.
MINT-POOL 3.0 - Lázně Boskovice The MINT-POOL 3.0 technology processes 450 m3 of washing water per month with an efficiency of 94%, which allows recycling up to 5 076 m3 of washing water per year. The MINT-POOL 3.0 technology product long-term meets the requirements of 238/2011 Coll. and relevant requirements of 252/2004 Coll. The average temperature drop of the recycled water is max. 1 °C, compared to the inlet, which enables high heat recovery. The MINT-POOL 3.0 technology demonstrates fully automated and unattended operation. Electric consumption is 0.8 kW per m3 of product water. The price of recycled water is up to 0.2 CZK/m3, including all operating costs.The MINT-POOL 3.0 technology makes possible to save total operating costs in the amount of more than 36,000 EUR per year, i.e. more than 44,000 EUR per year!

The price of recycling technology MINT-POOL itself starts at 140,000 EUR depending on capacity, including implementation costs. Maintaining costs are estimated at circa 4,000 EUR annually.
